Ricerca, l'uso del corpo, delle parole, la rielaborazione continua del pensiero, del ricordo e delle immagini. È il modus operandi di Mara Palena, fotografa e film-maker. Un’artista a 360°. 

Nata nel 1988, vive e lavora a Milano, dove co-fonda, tra gli altri versatili aspetti della sua vita, i progetti EXT. ANGST e FIORIARTIFICIALI. 

 

Su Nouvelle Factory presenta in anteprima Tutto Per Sempre, 5 immagini da osservare in sequenza. È come se l'artwork si destrutturasse negli elementi che lo compongono. E che sono appunto la ricerca, l'uso del corpo, delle parole, la rielaborazione continua del pensiero, del ricordo e delle immagini. 

L'installazione prende forma nella performance. Le lettere del componimento si fondono e le parole si trasformano nelle azioni. L'opera è il risultato finale, quello che resta, il ricordo sbiadito. L’atto ultimo di un processo prima interiore, poi elaborato fisicamente e, infine, che volge verso il collettivo, rendendolo visibile.

La poesia che si legge è una memoria mutata nel tempo, ricostruita da vecchie lettere scritte da un amore scomparso. Il resto è il processo, quello che succede dentro quei fiori e quelle parole, l'inconscio, l'impossibilità di raggiungere quei ricordi che contenevano promesse che puntavano all'eternità, ormai infrante. Così, chi resta compone versi nuovi, che descrivono sensazioni lontane e vicine, che appartengono ad un altrove. Per Palena è una corsa contro il tempo, verso l'eterno. Una supplica d'amore, una supplica al tempo che vive e trasforma. Una corsa contro la contraddizione di parole e promesse eterne tradite dagli eventi e dalla fine. Tutto per sempre è in contraddizione con la poetica del limite espressa nei movimenti della performance, costretti in una stanza, in un perimetro, incastrati nelle rimembranze del passato, in alcuni elementi.

On Nouvelle Factory she present a preview of Tutto Per Semper, 5 images to be observed in sequence. It is as if the artwork were deconstructed in the elements that compose it. And they are precisely the research, the use of the body, of words, the continuous re-elaboration of thought, memory and images.

The installation takes shape in the performance. The letters of the poem merge and the words are transformed into actions. The work is the final result, what remains, the faded memory. The final act of a first internal process, then physically elaborated and, finally, which turns towards the collective, making it visible.

The poem you read is a memory that has changed over time, reconstructed from old letters written by a lost love. The rest is the process, what happens inside those flowers and those words, the unconscious, the impossibility of reaching those memories that contained promises that pointed to eternity, now broken. Thus, whoever remains composes new verses, which describe distant and near sensations, which belong to an elsewhere. For Palena it is a race against time, towards the eternal. A plea of ​​love, a plea to time that lives and transforms. A race against the contradiction of eternal words and promises betrayed by events and the end. Everything forever is in contradiction with the poetics of the limit expressed in the movements of the performance, forced into a room, in a perimeter, wedged in the memories of the past, in some elements.
