Osservatorio Prada: l’inaugurazione ieri a Milano
“Give me yesterday”. Questo è il titolo che apre la prima mostra fotografica de l’Osservatorio, nuovo spazio espositivo della Fondazione Prada situato presso il quinto e sesto piano della boutique uomo della casa di moda, all’interno della suggestiva Galleria Vittorio Emanuele a Milano. In particolare, vede il suo epicentro al livello della cupola in vetro e ferro che appoggia sulla Galleria realizzata da Giuseppe Mengoni tra il 1865 e il 1867.
Lo stile degli ambienti è luminoso grazie alle importanti vetrate che circondano un’area di bene 800 metri quadrati.
Gli artisti ospiti, italiani e internazionali, sono quattordici, tutti nati tra il 1975 e 1984: Melanie Bonajo, Kenta Cobayashi, Tomé Duarte, Irene Fenara, Lebohang Kganye, Vendula Knopova, Leigh Ledare, Wen Ling, Ryan McGinley, Izumi Miyazaki, Joanna Piotrowska, Greg Reynolds, Antonio Rovaldi e Maurice van Es.
L’indagine che emerge dalle loro opere è il risultato di una ricerca sul nostro contemporaneo, a partire dai primi anni del nuovo millennio: un diario intimo, non scritto ma comunque caratterizzato da un simbolismo immediato (e mediato) attraverso il linguaggio figurativo della macchina fotografica. Curata da Francesco Zanot, la mostra rimarrà aperta al pubblico dal 21 dicembre al 12 marzo 2017.

"Give me yesterday”. This is the title that opens the first photo exhibition of the Osservatorio, new exhibition space by Fondazione Prada located at the fifth and sixth floors of the fashion house man’s boutique, in the picturesque Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan. In particular, sees its epicenter at the level of the glass and iron dome that rests on the gallery built by Giuseppe Mengoni between 1865 and 1867.
The style of the rooms is bright thanks to important windows surrounding the area mesuring 800 square meters.
Guest artists, Italian and international are fourteen, all born between 1975 and 1984: Melanie Bonajo, Kenta Cobayashi, Tomé Duarte, Irene Fenara, Lebohang Kganye, Vendula Knopova, Leigh Ledare, Wen Ling, Ryan McGinley, Izumi Miyazaki, Joanna Piotrowska Greg Reynolds, Antonio Rovaldi and Maurice van Es.
The survey that emerges from their works is the result of a review of our contemporary, from the early years of the new millennium: an intimate diary, unwritten but still characterized by an immediate (and mediated) symbolism through the photographic machine figurative language. Curated by Francesco Zanot, the exhibition will be open from December 21 to March 12, 2017.
