Costruirsi e poi distruggersi. La paura che si fa moda secondo Marco Grisolia
Caos. Ritmo. Distruzione e, inevitabilmente, fine. È una rappresentazione dell’angoscia contemporanea a segnare lo spirito, il fulcro, della collezione primavera - estate 2017 che Marco Grisolia ha realizzato. Dal 2014, il creativo calabrese abitua la sua donna a vestire più che abiti, un concetto, una riflessione su ciò che ci circonda e su come questo colmarci avviene. Tutto questo è frutto di una minuziosa ricerca sulla società del quotidiano, che si articola in strada e sui media. Questi ultimi in particolare hanno dato prova negli ultimi tempi della loro stessa contraddizione, superficialità.
Nella “tékne” della moda, queste riflessioni si scompongono per tessere abiti in cui la silhouette è caratterizzata da uno sviluppo di forme antitetiche, costantemente in bilico tra linee geometriche e inattesi sviluppi organici. Il punto vita è alto per favorire l'aplomb delle linee verticali e amplificare le asimmetrie degli orli, spesso tagliati a coltello. Coulisse che si arricciano a corolla e una vestire rilassato concludo questo percorso arricchito da colori come il rosso, il bianco, l’ocra, il rosa quarzo e il ceruleo su denim. Tutti questi elementi poggiano su tessuti e materiali come denim, appunto, organza dall’effetto cristallo, cotone, lattice e georgette goffrata.
Un designer come Marco Grisolia, che centra la sua idea di moda sul commento dell’oggi, deve necessariamente spiegare quello che sta dietro a un semplice vestito, seppure apparentemente. Egli ne è consapevole e allora va ad aggiungere alla sua tela stilistica, un nuovo elemento esemplificativo della sua espressione. Per questa collezione ha scelto di raccontarsi attraverso sette storie visive realizzate con la tecnica del collage. "In ognuna di esse ho catturato le azioni e le condizioni di degenerazione prodotte dalla mano dell'uomo. Forse è solo un modo per esorcizzare tutte le vibrazioni negative che sento attorno a me giorno dopo giorno, quando cammino per strada in città o guardando la TV. Spero sicuramente in un futuro migliore ma sono esausto di vivere in questo stato mortificante di continua emergenza". Così dichiara Grisolia che è anche professore presso la prestigiosa Accademia Costume & Moda di Roma e l'Istituto Europeo di Design di Roma.
Operare in questo modo sulla moda, una materia considerata dai più effimera, è un modo culturalmente sano e importante per ridare ad essa lustro, e non lustrini che, se mal dosati, si rivelano spesso inutili e volgari. Ma questo approccio sta allo scultore, all’artista, allo stilista, il quale ha scelto di unirsi a un sistema che ultimamente è sempre più costruzione e distruzione di se stesso. E se la moda riflette ciò che accade nel mondo, allora la lettura di Marco Grisolia è corretta. Impeccabile.
Building and then destructing. Fear that makes itself into fashion according to Marco Grisolia
Chaos. Rhythm. Destruction and, inevitably, the end. It is a representation of the contemporary anguish to mark the spirit, the heart, of the spring - summer 2017 collection that Marco Grisolia has made. From 2014, from Calabia creative accustomed his woman to dress more than clothes, a concept, a reflection of what surrounds us and fill us about how this is done. All this is the result of painstaking research on the everyday society, which is organized in the street and in the media. The latter in particular have shown in recent times of their own inconsistency, superficiality.
In the “tékne” of fashion, these reflections break down to weave clothes where the silhouette is characterized by a development of antithetical forms, constantly hovering between geometric lines and unexpected organics developments. The waist is high to promote the aplomb of the vertical lines and amplify the asymmetry of lips, often cut with a knife. Drawstring curling as a corolla and a relaxed fit, conclude this journey enriched with colors like red, white, ocher, quartz rose and cerulean on denim. All these elements are based on fabrics and materials such as denim, in fact, the effect crystal organza, cotton, latex and georgette embossed.
A designer like Marco Grisolia, who focuses his idea of fashion on the comments of today, must necessarily explain what is behind a simple dress, though apparently. He is aware of it and then it comes in addition to its stylistic canvas, a new element of example of its expression. For this collection he chose to tell his stories through seven visual tales made with the collage technique. "In each of them I caught the actions and conditions of degeneration produced by man. Maybe it's just a way to exorcise all the negative vibrations that I feel around me day after day, when I walk down the street in the city or watching TV; certainly I hope for a better future, but I'm exhausted of living in this mortifying state of emergency". So declares Grisolia who is also a professor at the prestigious Academy of Costume & Fashion in Rome and also the European Design Institute in Rome.
Operate this way on fashion, a subject considered by the most ephemeral, it is a healthy and culturally important way to give it luster, and not sequins that, if poorly measured, often prove useless and vulgar. But this approach has to be done only by the sculptor, the artist, the designer, who has chosen to join a system that has lately more and more construction and destruction of itself. And if fashion reflects what happens in the world, then the reading of Marco Grisolia is correct. Impeccable.
