“Alcune persone diventano poliziotti perché vogliono far diventare il mondo un posto migliore. Alcune diventano vandali perché vogliono far diventare un posto migliore da vedere”. Queste le parole pronunciate da uno dei più importanti esponenti della street art Bansky. E forse i tre ospiti dell mostra collettiva Perceptual Vertigo - CT, Elian Chali e Jan Kalab -, non saranno dei blouson noir, ma certamente fanno parte anche loro di quel portfolio di creativi che alla tela hanno preferito i muri delle strade delle metropoli di tutto il mondo. proprio come l’artista inglese.
Ideata dalla galleria d’arte contemporanea d’avanguardia Avantgarden, in cui sarà ospitata dal 27 aprile fino al 26 maggio 2017, l’esposizione è a cura di Manfredi Brunelli Bonetti, con testo critico di Francesca Holsen.

Ognuno dei tre artisti, benché esponenti della medesima corrente e aventi entrambi radici nell’underground, si distingue dagli altri per tecnica, stile ed estetica. E anche per i luoghi che sono soliti arricchire della loro arte. Se infatti CT, artista torinese, predilige le zone periferiche di città come Berlino in Germania e Parigi in Francia, utilizzando tratti geometrici e scanditi da colori importanti che riproducono il suo logo, l’argentino Elian Chali crea graffiti senza alcuna distinzione di zona - perché voglio che le mie opere siano poi modellate dalla città stessa, in quanto organismo dinamico in continua trasformazione -, ha dichiarato in un’intervista a Osso Magazine. Jan Kalab, nato in Cecoslovacchia, è il terzo degli street artists presenti, ed è stato tra i primi nell’Europa dell’est ad abbracciare quest’arte, certamente non senza qualche difficoltà, a causa della chiusura di quell’area alle correnti provenienti da occidente. È forse per questo motivo che il suo modus operandi fa uso di tecnologie avanzate come quella 3D.
