Torna la Milano Art Week dal 9 al 15 aprile 2018. Quest’anno l’evento non si limita a coinvolgere professionisti e appassionati del settore nelle varie sedi dell’arte milanesi, ma ospita nel suo fitto calendario di appuntamenti anche un’altra realtà importante: Miart, la fiera dell’arte moderna e contemporanea, che avrà luogo a Fieramilanocity dal 13 al 15 del mese. Tanti sono gli eventi organizzati, tra talk, incontri con artisti, collezionisti ed esperti. Numerosi sono anche i temi su cui si cerca di portare l’attenzione, dalla violenza sulle donne fino alla questione dell’identità personale e di una nazione. L’arte contemporanea è intesa, quindi, non solo nel sua realizzazione temporale ma anche sociale.
The Milan Art Week returns from April 9th to 15th 2018. This year the event is not limited to involving professionals and enthusiasts of the sector in the various Milanese art venues, but also hosts another important reality in its busy calendar of events: Miart, the modern and contemporary art fair, which will take place at Fieramilanocity from the 13th to the 15th of the month. There are many organized events, including talks, meetings with artists, collectors and experts. There are also many topics on which attention is sought, from violence against women to the issue of personal and national identity. Contemporary art is therefore understood not only in its temporal but also social realization.

Per coloro i quali l’oriente e la Cina riscuotono grande fascino e per gli appassionati di teatro, si segnala la mostra THE SZECHWAN TALE. China, Theatre and History, presso FM Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea, in via Piranesi 10, che inaugurerà oggi su invito, mentre sarà aperta al pubblico da domani, giovedì 12 aprile. L’esposizione, a cura di Marco Scotini, “propone un dialogo tra arte contemporanea, teatro e storia della Cina e del suo rapporto con l'Occidente all'interno di un percorso espositivo unico, concepito come un meta-teatro in cui una serie di artisti internazionali e cinesi forniranno una decostruzione degli strumenti della macchina teatrale, quali il pubblico, il sipario, l’attore (l’automa, il puppet, il teatro delle ombre), i costumi e la scenografia (ambiente mutabile e immutabile), il testo e la musica, come metafora di altrettanti fenomeni sociali e del loro carattere storico”.
For those who are fascinated by Far East and China, and also by theater, the exhibition THE SZECHWAN TALE. China, Theater and History, at FM Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea, in via Piranesi 10, which will open today by invitation, while it will be open to the public tomorrow, Thursday 12 April. The exhibition, curated by Marco Scotini, “proposes a dialogue between contemporary art, theater and history of China and its relationship with the West within a unique exhibition path, conceived as a meta-theater in which a series of international and Chinese artists will provide a deconstruction of the instruments of the theater machine, such as the audience, the curtain, the actor (automaton, puppet, the theater of shadows), costumes and scenography (changeable and immutable environment), text and music, as a metaphor for many social phenomena and their historical character ".

La Fondazione Nicola Trussardi prosegue la sua ricerca artistica proponendo lavori e concetti di creatori impegnati nell’analisi della condizione umana. Per la settimana dell’arte contemporanea di Milano ha chiamato l’opera Sacrilege di Jeremy Deller, a cura di Massimiliano Gioni. Il lavoro di Deller ha già conquistato diverse città internazionali come Madrid e Sidney, senza dimenticare Londra, dove è stata esposta nel 2012 in occasione delle Olimpiadi. Essa ritrae in scala 1:1 il sito archeologico di Stonehenge uno dei luoghi fondanti dell’identità e della cultura britannica, dichiarato patrimonio dell’umanità dall’UNESCO nel 1986, sotto la forma di un gonfiabile. L’obiettivo dell’autore è quello di “interagire con l’opera, a salirci sopra e giocare al suo interno”, ma non solo, egli richiama l’attenzione sul concetto di storia e di identità e del valore che oggi le persone vanno ad attribuire ai due elementi. L’installazione sarà aperta al pubblico dal 12 al 15 aprile 2018, dalle 11.00 - 20.00, presso il Parco delle Sculture di CityLife, in viale Eginardo 7.

The Fondazione Nicola Trussardi continues its artistic research proposing works and concepts of creators engaged in the analysis of the human condition. For the contemporary art week in Milan it called the work of Jeremy Deller's Sacrilege, curated by Massimiliano Gioni. Deller's work has already conquered several international cities such as Madrid and Sydney, without forgetting London, where it was exhibited in 2012 during the Olympics. It depicts on a 1:1 scale the archaeological site of Stonehenge one of the founding places of British identity and culture, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986, in the form of an inflatable. The author's goal is "to interact with the work, to climb on it and play inside", but not only, he draws attention to the concept of history and identity and the value that today people go to attribute to the two elements. The installation will be open to the public from 12 to 15 April 2018, from 11.00 to 20.00, at the Parco delle Sculture in CityLife, Viale Eginardo 7.

Per gli appassionati di moda il save the date è presso lo showroom di Missoni, in via Solferino 9, nel quartiere di Brera. Il forte interesse per l’arte della famiglia viene enfatizzato in questa occasione dalla collaborazione della maison con l’artista americana Rachel Hayes, fautrice di un site-specific curato da Mariuccia Casadio, già art editor di Vogue Italia. L’unione creativa tra i due mondi compare anche nella campagna pubblicitaria della collezione primavera-estate 2018, dove sono coinvolte le opere artistiche in tessuto di Hayes. L’installazione sarà aperta al pubblico dal 13 al 22 aprile, quindi anche durante la Design Week, dalle 11 alle 21.30, a ingresso gratuito.
For fashion lovers, the save the date is at the Missoni showroom, in via Solferino 9, in the Brera district. The strong art interest of the family is emphasized on this occasion by the collaboration of the maison with the American artist Rachel Hayes, the author of a site-specific curated by Mariuccia Casadio, already art editor of Vogue Italia. The creative union between the two worlds also appears in the advertising campaign of the spring-summer 2018 collection, where Hayes' artistic works are involved. Sabato 14 presso la Collezione Giuseppe Iannaccone, in Corso Matteotti 11, si tiene l’opening su invito di Ex Gratia, una mostra collettiva con dieci giovani artisti albanesi in collaborazione con ART HOUSE SCHOOL a cura di Adrian Paci e Rischa Paterlini, con la speciale collaborazione del Professor Zef Paci. Solo su prenotazione e a ingresso gratuito, l’evento è aperto al pubblico dal 15 aprile al 13 luglio 2018.
Nella stessa giornata, a Miart ha luogo il talk con il visual artist Christian Marclay e il curatore del Centre Pompidou Jean-Pierre Criqui. In questo caso l’appuntamento è alle ore 15, negli spazi della fiera.
Saturday 14th at the Collezione Giuseppe Iannaccone, in Corso Matteotti 11, will be held the opening on invitation of Ex Gratia, a group exhibition with ten young Albanian artists in collaboration with ART HOUSE SCHOOL curated by Adrian Paci and Rischa Paterlini, with the special collaboration of Professor Zef Paci. Un evento non sarebbe tale senza i dovuti riconoscimenti, e la fiera non delude le aspettative. Tra i price più importanti, merita di essere menzionato il Premio Rotary Club Milano Brera per l’Arte contemporanea e i giovani artisti, giunto alla decima edizione. L’obiettivo è quello di sostenere le nuove leve dell’arte contemporanea nel loro percorso artistico, attraverso la formula del “premio-acquisto”. per un valore di 10.000 euro, di un’opera che sarà destinata, assieme alle altre raccolte in questi anni, a una rinomata istituzione museale milanese. In questo frangente, è Attilia Fattori Franchini a curare l’area dedicata alle gallerie emergenti dove spiccano, tra le italiane, Acappella di Napoli, Clima a Milano, e Veda, nata a Firenze.
Tra le novità, raccontate durante la conferenza stampa, vi è l’inedito spazio Miart Educational, con la collaborazione di Fidenza Village. Si tratta di un nuovo servizio di mediazione gratuita che l’evento mette a disposizione del pubblico, voluto per rispondere all’esigenza di ampliare il più possibile il dialogo sull’arte, e non solo agli addetti ai lavori.
Ma la kermesse è molto altro. Si è scritto dei talk, i quali cercano di rispondere alla domanda “Cosa possiamo immaginare?”, ma avranno luogo molte mostre personali e l’innovativa sezione trasversale on demand, dedicata a opere che vivono della relazione con il contesto e l’acquirente, a cura di Oda Albera. Tra gli artisti dell’area, da sottolineare è la presenza di Teresa Margolles (Peter Kilchmann, Zurigo), ora al PAC di Milano, con la mostra Ya Basta Hijos De Puta.
