Lo stilista nato a Parigi, formatosi a Roma e siciliano d’origine sa quindi bene cosa significhi muoversi, spostarsi con o senza una meta precisa.

Si diverte Giardina nel passare attraverso il bianco e il lilla, infilandoci, nella seconda uscita, un abito color blu elettrico in crêpe marocain con motivi a losanga e intarsio in velo a colore. Le ore di lavorazione per crearlo? 415. Il primo, il terzo e ultimo outfit rivelano un’ode al noir in modo completamente differente eppure complementare. Andiamo con ordine. Numero 1: sovrapposizioni in velluto disposte a squame su base in tulle veletta. Applicazioni in lastre pet tagliate a mano effetto piuma. Ore: 470. Sylvio Giardina sperimenta e riduce all’essenziale ciò che altri avrebbero reso probabilmente (troppo) opulento. Qui c’è la voglia di esprimere la maestria dell’artigianato nostrano unito all’estro che in tanti vorrebbero ma pochi possiedono. E poi seduce già solo per il tema-musa: il viaggio. Viaggiamo.
