Ancora qualche giorno e il 2020 potrà dirsi concluso. Mancano davvero pochi giorni al Natale e a fine anno.

Proviamo a fare un esercizio di memoria: tentiamo di ricordare esattamente dove eravamo 365 giorni fa, con chi passavamo il tempo, cosa stavamo facendo. È altamente probabile che stessimo organizzando quelle numerose feste natalizie a cui tutti, anche quelli che detestano le rimpatriate, alla fine amano andare. Stavamo controllando se la lista della spesa conteneva tutti gli ingredienti necessari. Persino quelli di noi non abituati a cucinare si prestavano a fare un manicaretto. Oppure aiutavano la nonna con la mise en Place. Si stava andando a trovare i parenti in ospedale, per far sentire loro un po’ d’amore nel momento più magico dell’anno. Si faceva shopping in compagnia. I locali straripavano. E, soprattutto, ci si abbracciava, baciava. Magari sotto il vischio, per i più romantici. Si caricavano le macchine di prelibatezze, sci, indumenti caldi per la settimana bianca, specialmente tra amici.

Ecco a causa di un virus terribile, nefasto, sconosciuto, tutto questo è se non impossibile, certamente raro. Un lusso che non tutti possono permettersi.

Or they helped their grandmother with the mise en place. We were going to visit relatives in the hospital, to make them feel a little love in the most magical moment of the year. We went shopping in company. The locals overflowed. And, above all, we hugged, kissed. Maybe under the mistletoe, for the most romantic. They loaded the cars with delicacies, skis, warm clothes for the white week, especially among friends.

That's because of a terrible, nefarious, unknown virus, all this is if not impossible, certainly rare. A luxury that not everyone can afford.

Per Nouvelle Factory il 2020 si è rivelato un periodo positivo. Un’ottima annata, per citare una frase usata nel mondo vinicolo, nonché titolo di un celebre film con Russell Crowe. Tra le tante novità del magazine, le diretta Instagram. Qualche mese fa è infatti nato quello che speriamo - perfezionandolo - possa diventare un format duraturo: 18 chez Nouvelle. Una serie di interviste ai creativi già ospiti o futuri del portale, con cui fare qualche chiacchiera accompagnandosi a un bicchiere di vino. Qualcuno ha osato anche un gin tonic. E nonostante i dubbi iniziali, questi talk si sono rivelati utili, interessanti. Divertenti. Così ci dicono i commenti di chi li ha viste (sono tutte salvate e potete ancora vederle in differita sul nostro profilo). E ne andiamo orgogliose.

I nostri numeri sono cresciuti, siamo lette e gli ospiti che intervistiamo, li eventi di cui parliamo e le riflessioni portano la gente a discutere. Troviamo che sia sempre positivo innescare un dibattito anziché la presa in visione e basta. Quindi grazie, a nome di tutta la redazione..

For Nouvelle Factory, 2020 proved to be a positive period. Un’ottima annata, to quote a phrase used in the wine world, as well as the title of a famous film starring Russell Crowe. Among the many news of the magazine, the direct Instagram. A few months ago, in fact, what we hope - by perfecting it - was created to become a lasting format: 18 chez Nouvelle. A series of interviews with the creatives who are already guests or future of the portal, with which to chat with a glass of wine. Someone even dared a gin and tonic. And despite the initial doubts, these talks turned out to be useful, interesting. Funny. So they tell us the feedback of those who have seen them (they are all saved and you can still see them on our profile). And we are proud of it.

Our numbers have grown, we are read and the guests we interview, the events we talk about and the reflections lead people to discuss. We find that it is always good to trigger a debate rather than just taking it into consideration. So thank you, on behalf of the whole team.

Il Natale rappresenta un momento sacro e profano. Come l’arte, da tempi immemori. E così la fotografia. In particolare, c’è un autore che nel tempo si è fatto conoscere per le sue immagini quotidiane scattate ai protagonisti del jet-set e della dolce vita: Slim Aarons. Pop, irriverente, irrimediabilmente elegante. Provocatorio a tratti, il suo mondo è quello che vogliamo celebrare, nel rispetto e nella condivisione di una tragedia - umana e sociale - che ci ha toccati tutti, chi più chi meno. Attraverso le sue foto, ci auguriamo che i ricordi di un anno fa tornino a essere presenti; che le nostre interviste alle 18 si possano sì fare via Instagram ma ospitando fisicamente i designer e gli artisti. Che il mondo, anche se attualmente sembrerebbe andare verso lo sfascio totale portandoci tutti noi, riscopra concetti come cultura, bene comune, bellezza e solidarietà. E magari un abbraccio. Christmas represents a sacred and profane moment. Like art, since time immemorial. And so is photography.
