È un dialogo tra elementi il leitmotiv dell’opera di Elisabetta Nevola. L’orafa coniuga infatti porcellana e metallo per dare vita ai suoi gioielli. Allieva nel 2018 dell’artista, anche lei orafa, Lucia Davanzo della scuola padovana, città dove vive e lavora, Nevola si appassiona al mondo dei monili con una folgorazione: l’incontro con il suo io creativo. E così, formandosi e lavorando in mondi diversi, un giorno decide di affrontare il duende - così Garcia Lorca avrebbe chiamato il fuoco della creazione - e inizia a frequentare un’officina ceramica. In quel luoghi, dove è piacevole sporcarsi le mani, comincia a sperimentare quella lei stessa definisce una “materia magica da autodidatta”. Prima di specializzarsi con Davanzo e dopo la realizzazione di prototipi per sé decide quindi di frequentare ceramisti e maestri italiani sostenendo dei veri e propri corsi..

Le serie Nuvole, Flora e Paper Porcelain fungono da memorandum all’opera di Elisabetta Nevola. La prima, ispirata chiaramente a quei soffici mondi bianchi che si vedono in cielo, rappresenta per Nevola “il fuori norma”. Le nuvole, per loro natura, sono infatti senza sostanza, prive forma e in perenne trasformazione. Diventano l’essenza della metamorfosi e della rinascita. Le crea con una tecnica che prevede l’utilizzo di una soluzione semi-liquida proprio per fare emergere forme ogni volta diverse, leggere e trasparenti. A loro volta vengono inserite in una sorta di gabbia realizzata in argento. Poesia da indossare che, tra l’altro, fa riflettere sullo zeitgist. Flora è più terrena, s’ispira infatti alle forme della natura con l’aspetto di delicati ornamenti, in cui il metallo diventa peduncolo e sepalo, gambo o ramo, mentre la porcellana il suo fiore. L’ultima collezione è sperimentazione pura ed è di recente produzione: Nevola utilizza una miscela che ottiene mescolando fibre di carta o altri materiali organici alla porcellana. She creates them with a technique that involves the use of a semi-liquid solution precisely to bring out different, light and transparent shapes each time. In turn they are placed in a sort of cage made of silver. Poetry to wear that, among other things, makes us reflect on the zeitgist. Flora is more earthly, in fact she is inspired by the forms of nature with the appearance of delicate ornaments, in which the metal becomes a peduncle and sepal, stem or branch, while porcelain becomes its flower. The latest collection is pure experimentation and is of recent production: Nevola uses a blend that she obtains by mixing paper fibers or other organic materials with porcelain.
