Castello Maniace, Ortigia Siracusa
Ispirata alla reinterpretazione della sound track Ritornerai del maestro Franco Battiato (sulle spalle di Bruno Lauzi), torna Ortigia Sound System dal 28 Luglio al 1 Agosto. Reduce del blocco pandemico, l’evento ritorna nelle location del Castello Maniace, del Solarium Nettuno e dell’Antico Mercato sulla meravigliosa isola di Ortigia, Siracusa. La line-up presenta nomi come Venerus, Calibro 35, Ginevra, Guido Cagiva, Il Quadro di Troisi, Studio Murena, L’Ora Blu, Ciao, Discoteca Italiana, Lamusa II, Laura Agnusdei, Stump valley, Sugo Nero e Gigi Masin.
Inspired by the reinterpretation of the sound track Ritornerai by Franco Battiato (but the original is by Bruno Lauzi), the seventh edition of Ortigia Sound System will take place from July 28 to August 1st. Veterans of the pandemic lockdown, we “return” to the locations of the Maniace Castle, the Nettuno Solarium and the Ancient Market on the wonderfull island of Ortigia, Syracuse. The line up introduces artists such as: Venerus, Calibro 35, Ginevra, Guido Cagiva, Il Quadro di Troisi, Studio Murena, L’Ora Blu, Ciao, Discoteca Italiana, Lamusa II, Laura Agnusdei, Stump valley, Sugo Nero e Gigi Masin.

Un programma che si è dovuto adeguare alle ristrettezze economiche e logistiche, imposte dal delicato momento storico che ha stravolto ogni tipo di kermesse, probabilmente meno folto degli anni passati e ridimensionato a misura di pandemia: niente boat party e posti a sedere (quindi impensabile la presenza dei dy). In realtà si tratta della grande capacità di adattamento che gli organizzatori, Enrico Gambadoro e Marco Antonio Zuccarello, in primis hanno mostrato ritornando in presenza: un festival è sempre complicato da organizzare, ma in pandemia pressoché impossibile.
A program that had to adapt to the economic and logistical constraints imposed by the critical historical moment that upset every type of kermesse, probably less crowded than in the previous years and scaled down to fit a pandemic: no boat parties and seats (therefore unthinkable the presence of djs). So it is the great adaptability that the organizers, Enrico Gambadoro and Marco Antonio Zuccarello, first of all showed by returning to the presence: a festival is always difficult to organize, but in a pandemic is almost impossible.

Invece si è riusciti a sfruttare un’occasione unica per dare spazio ad artisti italiani dal respiro internazionale e a dare voce alla necessità di condividere le emozioni: esperienza che solo la musica, i concerti e l’arte più in generale possono dare. Ortigia Sound System è di fatto un’esperienza, che da sette anni a questa parte inneggia le relazioni e le emozioni, vera natura della dimensione umana. “Ritornare” quindi ha una fortissima carica simbolica, perché noi tutti abbiamo bisogno di riappropriarci della nostra umanità fatta di empatia, di passione e di condivisione.
Instead they exploited a unique opportunity to give space to italian artists with an international print and to give voice to the need to share emotions: an experience that only music, concerts and art in general can give. As a matter of fact the Ortigia Sound System is an experience, which for seven years has been heiling relationships and emotions, the true nature of human dimension. “Returning” therefore has a very strong symbolic significance, because we all need to assume again our humanity again, made of empaty, passion and sharing.
